Hi, I’m Anthony and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist in Columbia SC. Being with people is my passion. I have experience, working with adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I especially enjoy assisting couples with enriching their relationships and recovering from past hurts.
I draw from my experience as a therapist, pastor, army chaplain, hospice chaplain, lessons learned from patients and the sobering humility that comes from living the roles of son, husband and father.

I base my approach in an understanding that each client deserves empathy and the best care possible. I do this through a variety of approaches such as Collaborative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Emotional Focused Therapy, and Experiential Therapy.

Additional information about using your insurance:
The choice to use your insurance is yours and yours alone. In the interest of transparency when using your insurance the diagnosis will be added to your permanent health records. There are various restrictions to using your insurance such as how often you are seen and the insurance company will have access to all of your records.
If you choose not to use your insurance you will have full control over your treatment and all records will remain fully confidential.

Here at Connected By Purpose, I base my approach in an understanding that each client deserves empathy and the best care possible. I do this through a variety of approaches such Narrative Therapy, Collaborative Therapy. We also utilize traditional therapy models including but not limited to: Solution Focused Therapy, EFT (Emotion-Focused Therapy) and attachment focused therapy and Experiential Therapy. I will assess each case on an individual basis and will recommend therapy method(s) suited to your specific needs and goals.

A therapy session is $100/session. Sessions are booked in groups of four.

I find that clients get the best results when they make a commitment to come once a week. However, we will discuss session frequency based on your specific need and goals, your schedule, and your finances.

Yes! Confidentiality is very important to our practice. The only exception is in these circumstances: 1. Child abuse, dependent adult abuse, or elderly abuse in which we are mandated reporters 2. Threat of suicide or homicide in which we are required to ensure safety 3. A subpoena from the court
